“The resurrection of this ‘Black Pottery Horn’ will become a craft in itself, one that can be applied and reapplied. This translation, drawing upon the imperfections and meanderings of the archaeological process, results in the loss of a singular voice.”

The process behind this body of work employs layered storytelling, wordplay and montage to explore the complicated and often flawed dance between our imagination and reality.

Installed as a museum handling collection, the objects become activated when moved, paired or discarded. Through these acts, they are translated into a new language, muddying our distinction between imagination and reality.
